No other information exists on Quasar, including whether it still resides with George Francis. ![]() However, Francis states on the Team Chaos website that it was going to feature sizeable air gaps in between its chassis and outer armor panels, in order to reduce the risk of major damage to its key internal components. It is unknown what Quasar was going to be armored with, as only images and references exist of its welded 'inner chassis' dating from June 2002. Unlike Francis' previous robots, however, Quasar was also to feature destructive capability in the form of a large, rear-mounted vertical spinning disk. The robot took heavy inspiration from Chaos 2, featuring a two-wheel drive base and a sloped front housing a CO 2 canister to power its pneumatic flipper. It was partially built with the intention of competing in Comedy Central Season 5.0. Quasar was a heavyweight robot designed by British builder George Francis, best known for captaining two-time Robot Wars champion Chaos 2.
